Tragedy

There are so many things happened just in one day, around 4:30 p.m., yesterday a truck bumped into a taxi cab with 3 passengers, the kid died on the spot, the mom and the aunt were sent to the hospital and now the driver of that taxi cab was confirmed dead.

At 10:00 p.m., last night, the rain pours so hard and it lasted about 3 hours, that causes the flash floods, 4 barangays were affected. Many people were missing and now 30 were found died in the river.

My deepest sympathy and condolences to those who lost their love one's, I know this is not the time to rant but to help them. Yet, when I look at the trees that were cut down in the forest, I can't help to think why these things have to happen.

There were houses, that was put up near the rivers, I know it was dangerous but since they can't afford to buy some houses, they have no choice but to stay and to squat whatever land that is available to them.

Some subdivisions were also near the creek, I am not sure if the developer was not able to foreseen that floods would possibly occur or maybe they just don't care at all. All they care is to just sell the land portion and that's it.

Sigh, what we can do for now is to pray for those families who were greatly affected by these devastating floods. Especially the kids who were so scared when they have to get across the strong current of the water, I could not imagine their trauma they felt now. And to those kids who were not able to survive, my prayers are for you. Don't you worry now; you are already in the hands of GOD. You are safe and no one can ever harm you, not ever again.

Orange Tuesday # 3 : Sandal

I so want more of this sandal, this is the only one I have and the color too is awesome. Unfortunately this sandal has been retired for so many months now, I hope to find one of this when I go to the mall to shop.

Frustrations

There are times that when our kids can't seem to follow what we wanted them to do, it can be so frustrating. Maybe because we expect too much, my husband would always tell me to give them a break, my frustrations make them oh so worried. I love my kids, but sometimes they would really test my patience, sometimes really it tires me when I have to hold my temper, I wanted to shout but I can't.

"Wait till you will be a mother"

This word always reminds me of my friend's mother, she was scolded by her Mom when I was just a teenager. Now, I realize that being a mother is a very noble career, especially when you are at home with your kids 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

Who says Mom doesn’t need a break?

We need a break, like a vacation perhaps or a treat for foot spa or massage. But when you are far away from your kids like 3 days of vacation, your worries would always get you, you cannot be tamed and you would wish to have a vacation with them. Although they can be a monster and would always get you mad, their caress, their passion, their sweetness is surely be missed, it is always there in your heart and you would rather be mad by them being naughty than be away from them for a short span of time.

The Latest Earthquakes

When I first experience a strong earthquake way back when I was in high school, a fear got into me whenever I would feel one. It is not that I don't experience another earthquake at all after that incident, they were all mild though yet I can't help to wonder what if and we were all sleeping, then the lights are off, would I drag the kids under our small computer table in the bedroom or I would open the door immediately for us to go out. I tell you it is hard to think when you are alone with kids, but first thing I would consider first is to save the kids for any debris or whatsoever.

Looking Good

My husband always tells me that he has a hard time shopping for clothes. He really does not like to buy things for himself and will wear his clothes as long as he can. I hope to change him from this so that he will dress nice, especially for work. It would be nice to see him wearing nice brands like coogi or others. Honey, I know that you really want to look good and have a hard time when it comes to shopping for yourself, but you need to look good at work and not only to me. So let me do the choosing, all you have to do is try on the clothes I select.

Mommy Moments : Father's Day

Oh well, as everyone knows, my husband, my kids dad is not here with us to celebrate Father's day. So I just sent him a wallet as my gift to him through Amazon.

Then we made a photo collage and wrote a dedication to him as well as how great he is for us. Thank you always hon for all the never ending love and care, we are so lucky to have you as a Dad to our kids and as a husband to me.

Repairs and Maintenance For Your Car

Having my car repaired is a bit scary. Whenever I take the car in for repair or for maintenance, what I think may be wrong with it, may not be what the repair shop will tell me. Recently I took my car to a different repair shop then the one I normally take it to. I was told by my regular repair shop that I would need brakes the next time I was there, but the new shops said I still had 50-60% of brake pad left. Now I am wondering if I was receiving honest service for all the years I was taking my cars there.

I have had both good and bad experience with car repairs over the years. Some of the service has been excellent and other times I am sure needless repair was done and just so the shop I took it to could make a few extra bucks. One car I had was not charging the battery and I took it in for repair. I had the alternator replaced the battery replaced and what really needed to be done? A simple cable needed replacing. I was not a happy camper after this. Finding the right repair shop for the manufacturer of my vehicle is important for a Chevrolet you can find a page on places like repairpal.com, you can find other pages for other manufacturers both foreign and domestic.

One lesson I have learned is talk to others to and see where they take their cars. Another is to look online to see if there are places that have good reputations in my local area. I was happy with the last repair shop I took my car too. It did not cost me money I really did not need to spend. So my advice to all my readers is to do your homework when your car needs repair or just regular maintenance.

Dozed Off

I was so tired last night, we arrived from the training at 9:00 p.m., we ate our dinner immediately then Mj reviewed her lesson for a while. I wanted to write here but I can't help to be dozed off. So I joined my kids in our bed to sleep. I guess it’s better to set aside my blog once in a while, and sleep early.

Never Say Never!

One thing I learned from today "Life is just so Beautiful" so we have to take care of it. We may sometimes crashed by trials and storms in our lives but that doesn't mean you ought to quit. We may stumble and fall but it is our options to get back up, when we are tired, we can stop but we should never be quit.

I cried when I get hurt, I could scream but I remain tamed when in pain but I will never give up. No matter what happen, I will live life to the fullest; it is how it should be. I would appreciate little things I would enjoy it because we wouldn't know when this life stops, aahhhh it is just so nice to live and be loved by my husband and my kids. I thank you Lord for this life, for the blessings and for always there for us.

Orange Tuesday # 3 : Apartment

When we were in Manila, we rented this apartment from my friend's friend. Good thing that before we arrived there, my friend already negotiated her friend about the place and so we don't need to rent for a hotel to stay, in that way we could save a lot.

This orange apartment is a 3 storey, it is located in Pasig, Santolan, but don't you know that during Ondoy typhoon the water was reached up to the second floor? Yeah, some of the neighbors asked the one who rented at the 3rd floor if they could stay for a while until the flood went down.

Welcome Home Daddy!

It would be a nice surprise for the kids who have never seen their Dad for a very long time, we could maybe see a river of tears between them, how much more when their Dad is a soldier and is assigned to a very far away country. We went to the house of my sister Irenie to attend my niece birthday party, it was yet simple. We just had a fine dinner prepared of course by my brother-in-law. To Mariel, have a happy happy birthday, always be good.

Saturday 9 : You May Be Right

I just arrived from sending Mj to KUMON right after she was done her training at the swimming venue; we just dropped by at the mall for her lunch. Then we headed to her Kumon immediately, since I have something I need to do here at home, I went home. The mechanic will be here to send the steering wheel at the upholstery.

Easy to access online education

Working and raising two kids are hard work. I am thinking of going back and working on my Masters or another degree, but with two active daughters and all of their activities it would have been hard to attend a traditional class room. The internet has made it easy to gain access online education and to learn about online accredited degrees. I know I have the will and determination to complete the requirements for my degree and now that I can do it from the convenience of my home, maybe it is time for me to start work toward one of those online accredited degrees. I know I can do it, with my husband who is so supportive, I know he would help me obtaining the requirements of this course. It has been years I am planning for this; I just need a push and motivation to make it realized.

I can do it!

Life is a challenge and so as to learn how to drive. I never thought it is this hard and I never thought I could sweat a lot even though my aircon was set high but I am holding my grip I won't stop until I will learn this skill. I already have started it then I have to continue it, no one can stop me now, I will just not forget to step on the break.

I will not be discouraged, it was all but normal I just have to set my spirit high, I can do this, GOD will always be there for me and I believe he won't leave me, he is there to protect me.

My Project

My husband has a fireplace but it was not that I have seen in a movie, the one I wanted to have is a fireplace mantel maybe that's the first thing I need to do when I am there is to persuade my husband to install a fireplace I really like. Actually, that was only one of the firsts because I just told my husband when we chatted this morning that I want to put a garden where I could plant veggies, some flowers and the like, good thing he told me that his loan is enough for my project.

Oh well, it has been more than a year that my husband was not able to visit us here. He was too busy at his work and with his new position right now. Although we keep on chatting and talking over the phone everyday that was not enough yet I believe we will survive, we will be together.

The most special day for you and your fiancee

It was less unexpected when my husband proposed me to marry him, it was a proposal through online and I thought he will just propose without a ring, but he did. The proposal was online then after a week he showed me the engagement ring. I was so stunned it was my first time to see a diamond ring and what surprise me most was when he arrived, when he showed me the ring, the diamond was even so huge. I felt so lucky; I never thought that there's be a man who would give me a life that I never have before.

Now, that I am married to him and I wore two rings already in my finger, engagement and wedding ring, I couldn't ask for anything more, although there are trials along the way but I believe we endure it. Diamonds are forever as they said, this stone has a deeper meaning when you propose for a girl to marry you, and if you want it to be personalized, and you can actually buy loose diamonds when you want it to have a special cut or size. I tell you, like me, your girl will be delighted and would say yes to your proposal right away. This special occasion should not be missed thus you need it to be more special to you and your soon to be wife, so why not take the most memorable ring, right?

Intruder

Last night, I found out that the bulb outside near our living room is not working at all. So the front yard tends to get too dark every time we turn the lights off. I get so worried about that, what if somebody would try to get inside our gate and successfully open the doors or windows or whatever.

Anyway, I just hope there is no such thing that would happen, but as I tried to ignore that thought, last night, I suddenly dreamed that somebody tried to break in our home. They successfully unlock the window but when they did, I woke up. I went out from our bed room and I ran after the culprit. Huh? I was not even afraid to know who they were, and yet I am already scared just to imagine it.

I am just so thankful that it was only a dream.

My Gift For Father's Day

I was thinking to buy my husband a gift for Father's Day and since he likes to play golf, I thought the the best golf gps would be a nice gadget for him but as you see, we just came home from our Manila escapade, and obviously I am out of budget. Though I did not check the prize of that gadget, I just immediately check the wallet that is available online, I was trying to place an order yet I could seem to encounter some problems. Good thing my friend, helped me to place an order, not only that she was able to add a note and have it gift wrapped. Now the gift is on its way, let me also grabbed this opportunity to thank my friend for the help. Maybe, next time I'll be able to afford the golf gps and give it to my husband.

Orange Tuesday # 2: I Miss College!

I already posted this bag to my other blog, but today I am not featuring the blue pack bag but my top, which is obviously orange and obviously this would be my entry for today's Meme.

Most often than not, I miss being at school, don't get me wrong, I already graduated in college but I miss being the kolehiyala with this kind of pack bag. I miss studying and reviewing my notes and geez I miss accounting. LOL

Another Victim

A week ago, when our neighbor and her family went out to hear mass, they didn't know that somebody was already trying to ge through inside her house. One of our neighbors noticed that there were some teenagers were near at that house, she even asked them if where they live. One said that they are at the other village, our neighbor already suspected them but she chooses to ignore them.

When our neighbor arrived from church, her TV plasma was nowhere to be seen, even her jewelries were gone. They reported it to the authority immediately, and found out that the culprit went through the hole of the aircon, which was already condemned a long time ago, they only put a ply wood at the hole.

The police asked the neighbors nearby, it was only then that one of our neighbors realized that she was right. Those teenagers at the street near that house were the look out, she was able to give a description of those teenagers yet they are not sure if they will be captured. I hope they will so the owner of the house will recover her belongings.

Craving for Ice Cream Early in the Morning

Early this morning me and the kids were craving for ice cream, since no one will be able to ice cream store to buy one for us, we just instead prepared our breakfast then, called the cafeteria to order some viands. We already set up the table when suddenly the ice cream vendor passed by thus caught Faith's attentions; she ran towards me and told me "Ice cream Mama!”

Just after we had our breakfast, we were already enjoying our ice cream; I guess all of us are ice cream lovers especially when the weather tends to get so hot.

Anyway, we just stayed home today; we didn't go out as I said to my other blog, our funds just swept away yesterday. I have nothing left if there is, it would only be for today. Nevertheless, I am sure there are sales items now in the mall in the celebration for Independence, unfortunately we could not go, thus I will just have to greet each one of you a Happy Independence day!

Well, what can I say my husband, my daughters dad is the best thing that ever happened to us. Even we are miles apart he never failed to support us especially to Mj, he always make sure that Mj has given enough love, a love she was not able to feel from her biological father. I am so much back!

I was not here for 7 days because Mj and I together with the swimming team went to Manila to join the MILO novice competition. We were so exhausted but so excited with the result and I could tell Mj will be successful if she would continue her training for swimming. She always took the first place; she could not even believe it. She was so happy running towards me, telling me with her great performance in the pool.

Anyhow, it was a very look week for both of us, but it's all worth it even after a day we arrived, I've spent my whole day just sleeping. Have a nice day to all of you!
