Act What You Have Taught Them

I grew an inch taller now after I listened to the ministry who hosted the recollection today. He discussed about how is your relationship with your kids and how are we bring up the kids especially with today’s generation.

How do you love your kids? Is it through spoiling him of the things around, is it attaining him all his needs and do things for him because he said he cannot do it? How do you show your love to your child is it by hurting him a bit or not at all because your reason is you love him too much and you cannot hurt him?

The kids are usually imitating what an adult had shown them, so as the saying goes your child’s education begins at home so you must teach them well. Some of you must ask how you would teach them the proper way. Well, they said you could teach them by telling them good values, some says you can teach them more when you show them which one is bad and good but don't you know that you could teach them the most when you act or do what you have taught them.

A New Home Sweet Home Soon

Right after the recollection at school, the daughter of the owner message me for the house I want to see nearby. I thought the house is creepy and all that since it has been few months already that it was empty but nope it was not, the moment I stoop inside the house, the place was bright and it has more space as well, though it doesn’t have floor tiles and I just have to put a floor mat on it, other than that the house is nice and affordable unlike the other one.

I gave a two months deposit right away to the daughter of the owner; she gave me a temporary receipt stating that she received the payment. I and Mj went to my friend’s house immediately so she could accompany me in buying some stuff for the house; I bought a sala set, a wardrobe for me and the kids, a dining table and the TV rack. I would pay for the bed on Saturday, the one that my neighbor has, they had a garage sale today and one of the item was a nice bed. I will pay it in installment basis but before March I should have done paying it.

As of now, I really don’t have much time to blog yet, but I will make it up to you guys after I settle everything here so please forgive me if I was not able to visit your site.

Whether To Take It Or Not

I am so busy nowadays that I even can’t open my other laptop to browse or blog hop. I have so many things I want to accomplish and first that is to look for a house to rent. I was able to see a house the other day and really wanted to hand the down payment right away but I was dumb founded with the thought to spend the money wisely. Yes, it is in a gated community and it has a lot of amenities inside but the price is not reasonable at all, well for my husband it was okay but for me, I was really having a hard time of deciding whether to take it or not.

When I was all ready to give out our down payment to the agent, a friend of mine advised me to look around more; I might found one house that has a reasonable price with bigger space. So I tried and contacted the owner and guess what? Well, I might hang you with that; let’s see if I find it nice by tomorrow or on February 04., wish me luck guys!

I Just Arrived From The Wedding

Yes, I just arrived from the wedding, though I was late since it was really raining so hard this morning, I still able to witness the rest of her wedding ceremony. The parish priest delivered a very inspiring message to the couple; actually the message was all the married couple and singles wanting to get married.

After the ceremony, we headed to the reception; the food was great especially of the macaroni salad. I admit it is my least favorite but when I tasted it, I wanted to get more but I think I cannot get some anymore because one friend I had there told me that we are not allowed to go back and get more.

We also went to the bride's house and chitchatted for hours with Ada and Genny, this day just turn out great that I feel like the time speeds in an instant.

Mommy Moments : New Favorite

I apologize if I posted this one late, inasmuch as I wanted to post the Meme earlier but due to the fact that Faith is not feeling well, she wanted to cling the whole time until she is fast asleep. And because I just cannot miss the theme this Friday, here I am posting the new favorite of my kids.

Before the classes start this month, she was really bugging me to cut her hair short, so from her favorite long hair, she has now a short hair and she said she loves it.

But We Have To Weigh Things To Survive

I am already sleepy but Faith is so fussy here in her slumber, after the throwing up last night, now she has a slight fever too. Good thing that her vomits ceased at the hospital last night and praying now that it won’t happen again and her fever will not boost up by next day or else we have to send her again to the hospital.

When we were rushing her to the hospital, I really had thought of having a car of our own so when emergency occurs just like what happen last night, we will not going to wait for a cab anymore, we could just hop in and drive right away. I really wanted to try to look for a car insurance quote and see if I could find a decent price for insurance if we would buy a car, but on second thought, with today’s economy crisis we also have to weigh things to survive. Buy things, that is necessary and buy things that has a quality but with a competitive price.

Though having a car could be convenient for us yet I have to prioritize our daily expenses and we have to stick with our budget. It may not be easy but I know we can do it, with or without a car; we can still get home after all.

Beware! When Riding A Cab

I just got this article from Life as Experienced Daily and I was so frightened while reading it, I often commute in a cab especially when I do grocery shop or when Faith is around. I am re-posting this incident so it would serve the people to be more cautious or careful when they ride a taxi cab nowadays.

SUDDENLY, without warning, the driver grabbed my neck and jumped to the back. My first thought was, “ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!?!?!?”. But his grip was getting tighter and tighter. I literally couldn’t breathe and felt my consciousness slipping. As we were struggling, I kept scratching at his eyes and reaching for the lock of the left door. He was on top of me hitting my head repeatedly while his other hand around my neck. I was choking and choking when I realized the left side HAD NO FUCKING LOCK, which means I couldn’t get out. Which means I had to try my luck on the right side. Imagine my struggle to get to the other side as a full grown, heavyset man kept bashing my head, scratching my face, pulling my hair and hitting me. I kept scratching his eyes. It was all I could do. When his grip loosened a bit, I managed to open the right door with so much effort. Unfortunately he pulled me back with my hair. Imagine MY TERROR as the door closed again!!!!! I couldn’t scream anymore. Besides, who would hear me I was inside a fucking car. My neck was so sore and I was close to fainting. I kept scratching his eyes and reaching for the door until by some miracle, I opened it fully and screamed with what was remaining of my voice.

Less Bothered

I supposed to sleep now, but the moment I went inside our bedroom, Faith woke up, I tried to shake her crib a bit so she could be droopy, she still did not sleep. So I have to take her from the crib and lay her down in our bed, but instead of sleeping she bugged her Ate Mariel whose at that time trying to sleep.

Now I and Faith is here in the living room so Mariel could sleep or else Faith would not let her. I am here with my little girl; she has her book with her so I am less bothered by her.

Playing At The Neighbor's House

My daughters are friendly, they get along with friends so well, unless if you would fight with them they would surely get a revenge. And since they are close wherever Ate Mj is, Faith wanted to go there, too well except at the school. I love both of my daughters; I hope they remain close as they grow up.

On the other hand, let me take a nap now since I and Faith slept too late last night and woke so early in the morning to help Mj prepares her stuff at school. Faith woke up too because she felt she wanted to pooh, whew! It has been three days now that she pooed in the bowl, what a success for Mom and the baby keeps on telling herself "Very good Baby!"

Somehow It Has Served Me Well

I am watching Mega Birthday concert when I heard this song sang by one of the celebrity there, it reminded me way back; this was the song, which inspired me a lot. Some of you may know that I had ups and downs when I was in college and this song has given me enough for me that somehow things will get better and that I just have to thank of the things that happen to me before, it would be negative, it would be success, it would be triumph or failure. Those have given me life that somehow that life has served me well.

Treating My Little Girl

Since I will go to the Christening of my inaanak by tomorrow, I would treat her today instead. Mj was done this morning, right after she finished her stuff in the Tutor center, we headed to Jollibee to eat our lunch and let her play in the kids playing area for a moment while I was doing my task.

We ought to go to the grocery store but I changed my mind since she had to have an appointment with her other Teacher., Faith greet me right away in the kitchen when we arrived, she knows that it's her turn now to have a Mommy bonding, she still wanted to eat in Jollibee even though she is eating her lunch now, so I think I will bring her somewhere, a place where she could enjoy with more toys.

Life Is Too Precious

I was so hungry when we arrived at the Kumon this morning, well I have not eaten my breakfast yet and we were running late already, well I am on a diet after all so I did not exert an effort to make our breakfast. I jusT told MJ to serve herself rice that was left from last night and milk for her viand. Bad Mom! So I have to take the punishment of a growling tummy and a low self-esteem, I really felt so weak whenever I go out in the house with an empty stomach as if I cannot do everything but to sit down, gees I even can’t think any thing right until Mj went out from the Kumon Center and told me she was ready to go home.

Diet will goes bad when you are doing the wrong way, just like what I did this morning. I should not skip breakfast since that is the only source of our strength when the day starts. Just like when you decide to take a pill let‘s say for your aiming to lose weight, you should know the side effects of diet pills you are going to buy so you would not regret it at the end. Life is too precious for you to waste it so you have to do the right way, read the label in each product you are using. And make sure if it is BFAD approved. Don’t risk your health for your desire to lose weight.

A Poem From Their Dad

It has been a couple of days that I tried to locate this poem from my message archive. I was about to log out then when I noticed the poem that my husband for his kids. Well I was so late to save it because the computer is about to log off anymore.

On the other hand, when I tried to think here what things to write in my blog, I gave it a try to search the poem again and voila, it's here, hiding somewhere maybe lol.

Traditions And Beliefs

Some of us are not that lucky when it comes of having a smooth face. In our tradition when a teenager had their first period, old folks will asked them to jump three times or from the third steps on their stairs at home. I had that too but my sister added some beliefs, she gave me a red flower, it would be a rose or whatsoever but mine was Gumamela. She said that was for acne’s and pimples, if I would roll the flower in my cheeks I have no problem with pimples, I am not sure if it is really effective but well it was effective for me. I grew up without having that mess in my face.

But in today’s changing environment and with the foods we intake daily, I think the tradition and belief of my sister will not be capable of producing such result anymore even though teenager still should not be worry because there is always a best acne treatment available in store or wherever you are. I am sure my sister will stick to the old tradition than to recommend the treatment because for her it is better to have the natural way of getting rid of pimples than to try for the latest products a science could offer.

An Earthquake Occured This Morning

An earthquake just happen this morning at first I thought someone just shaking my chair but nope it was not because later on I felt it was shaking more. I told my sister about it, she stopped for a while and sure it did quake. I ran to Faith’s bedroom to check on her, she was still asleep, good thing the earth quake stopped.

My husband sent me a link that the earthquake was 25 Km from Davao and was a 5.2 magnitude. Yes, it was a bit strong but it was nothing compares to what I experienced before, it was December 16 I forgot the year but I think I was in high school at that time. It was 2:00 a.m., when the quake started and it lasted for like how many minutes, I forgot, all I can remember is that it was really strong. I cried the whole time when it happens, my sisters were trying to push our cabinet fronting our bed otherwise it would collapsed and surely we will be under it.

The reason why when it comes to earthquake, it’ll really give me goose bumps especially now that I have two kids to take care of, geez they said that numbers of earthquake will come about this year. I hope it is not that devastated as what happen to Haiti now.

Later Did I Know

If you are working at night shift I am sure you can relate to this post, I am sure that you had the same experienced with a dark circled under our eyes. We had the same sentiments regarding that matter, I think it is but normal when you are exposed to computer and awake during night time.

I guess you are also looking for a remedy on how to get rid of that, well I was so thankful that one friend gave me an under eye cream for dark circles when I visited her, she was dealing some eye creams and she wanted me to test it for free if it is really effective. After a month, my workmate noticed that I have no dark circles in my eyes anymore; I used to pass it to one of my workmate when I resigned but dang my make up kit was stolen when we went out for shopping. It was during Christmas season when a stranger kept on asking me about an item, later did I know my pouch was gone, I think she thought it was a pouch for my cellphone, heck no! That pouch is for me to store my make up’s, eye wear, eye cream, lipstick and all that stuff.

Mommy Moments : Newborn Days

The first time I saw Mj, I can't believe it at first, it was like a miracle to me. I'd been tested when she was still in my womb and not only who was strong but she was as well, she tried to fight and live inside me although we were neglected by someone whom I thought was my knight in shining armor.

My eldest daughter is my lucky charm; she was always there to make me smile every night when I am home from work. I had moved on from my mistakes before because of her, she was my little angel who guided my path. She strengthened me with her innocent cries and laugh, from the time she was with me I become stronger that I felt like there's no storm in life I can't handle. Now she is 9 years old and will celebrate her birthday this month.

With Faith she got all the attention in the world, well her father is always so supportive though he is miles apart from us. He made sure that I was okay and sent so many vitamins for me. She was like her Ate Mj although it was a bit hard when I deliver her.

For me she was the cutest little girl in the nursery, she got a lot of facial expression; you would laugh and smile at her face. Unlike Mj, I was under caesarian operation because she was cord coil, her heart beat slows down when I tried to push.

I chilled after the operation but the pain was all worth it, because when I saw her face and finally carried her, I feel like I was holding an angel in my arms.

Natural Ingredients

Live Life To The Fullest

Our body is an amazing thing. One of the best ways to keep ourselves healthy is to have a clean body, both inside and out. He Is Taking A Pill A Day

Terry takes a pill for cholesterol every day. It is not because his LDL (bad cholesterol is high); it is because his good cholesterol (HDL) tends to be a little low. So for the past few years he has been taking a pill a day. What is the best cholesterol treatment for him? He is now taking his third different type of medicine for it.

He also had a Doctor appointment this week; they have to test his heart rate. He explained to me of the machines they used for him. Thank God he is doing fine although the Doctor advised him to lose really weight.

What I Used To Before

I used to visit the church like three or two times in a week before and attend mass every Sunday but it was change one day. It is not that I have less faith now than before because God knows I strongly believed in him, it was just the visit was not constant anymore.

Today, after my appointment at Kumon, I thought to drop by at shrine church and stay there for a while, good thing it didn’t rain even the cloud was getting dark. Well, it stopped when I was already at the church. I whispered my prayer and sat down inside a chapel. Tears just started to well-up, I don’t know why but suddenly I said sorry, I apologized for sometimes forgetting him, I apologized for not doing the rosary, I used to do it before everyday or every Wednesday but I can’t seem to do it now and I feel guilty about it. Sure, I at least attended mass on Sunday’s three times or two times in each month; I am so busy of everything, that even a 15 minutes of doing the rosary seems impossible. I won’t make any promise but I will really try to make up of the things I used to before.

So I went out for shopping yesterday and these were I got, slacks a blouse and a gift for my inaanak. I can't wait for the baptismal though and welcome Kaegan Dale to Christianity.

Went Out For Shopping

It is January and I didn't expect this is the extension of being so hectic from December; yes I got well more than one party to attend this month. First is the baptismal of my inaanak this coming 18th and the wedding day of my friend on 23rd, not to mention that kid’s birthday is fast approaching, Mj is on 27th and Faith is on February 08 so I have to have time table so I could cope up everything.

So I went out for shopping after I paid all my dues for my in insurance. I thought to buy a dress for me but I changed my mind, dresses are really not my cup of tea, I have to decide for something I could use not only for parties but to may daily activities as well, so I picked up a slacks and a blouse for me, I also bought a gift for my inaanak, I already have it wrapped so no one in my family could see what's inside the box.

For the wedding, I still have to canvass of what gift I have to give to the couple, on the other hand I bought a curling iron so I could change my look at least for one day on the upcoming event.

Alvin And The Chipmunks-The Squeakquel

Today, I and my kids went to the mall to watch the Alvin and the Chipmunks-The Squeakquel, right after we attended mass, I promised Mj last week that we will watch this movie with Faith this Sunday and she was so excited about it, she is always excited when her youngest sister is around, though Faith is bugging us the whole time when we're together, running here and there or making noise, she still the most wonderful baby for all of us.

And we were so amazed how she was so behave inside the movie; she was seriously watching the movie and was even shouting when the chipmunks almost got eaten by an eagle inside the cage at the zoo.

Alright, before I would go too far, here's the synopsis of the movie.

The team went to Paris for the concert but unfortunately during the concert, Dave the guardian of the chipmunks got injured, so he had to be admitted in the hospital yet and decided to send Alvin, Theodore and Simon back home and go to school.

While the chipmunks are struggling at school, Ian was devastated and wanted to revenge to the chipmunks, he has nothing now excepts he said his dignity. One day, there were other three wanted to be a star too, they were the chippetes.

Are they finally meeting their match? A friend perhaps or a rival, Check out in the movie, all I could say is we really had fun and it is really for the entire family.

A Weird Dream

I had the weirdest dream last night, it was about someone got killed and I was about to witness who did it. The guy aimed a gun to the victim and shoots him, it was so abrupt and the killer saw me watching the whole scene. He saw me, watching them from a house, when he noticed it; I immediately went inside the house. I guess it was a friend's house because I sort of knew the people inside though they are not so familiar with me.

I told them the incident and asked them if they could hide me because I was sure the killer will going to look for me then they hid me on their bathroom. So I was right, the killer was looking for me, good thing he did not force to get inside the house instead he asked the owner politely and did not persist when the owner of the house said I was not there and they did not know me. I was already very scared when a police came to investigate and they seemed knew who is the witness, I am not sure maybe the owner of the house gave them the tip that the witness is inside their house. So they picked me up, it was kind a weird because their patrol is a trisikad (a bicycle that has a passenger seat on the side) they told me to hop in then we went in to the police precinct for them to get the whole details.

During the investigation, I saw the killer inside the precinct, and guess what? He is I guess a police officer, then all a sudden... I woke up.

His Father

My husband has been telling me about his dad, he told me his dad is getting weak because of his illness. When I heard about it, I was a bit sad as I and the kids wanted to see him in person, the kids never seen my parents as they died many years ago, so I know the feeling of having no grand parents around to spoil them. I hope that we could still see my husband’s father after we get approved when we apply for our visa.

If we get the chance to go at his place in Florida, we might be looking for a hotel to stay so we must search for a florida hotel deals in the Internet. I am sure the kids will be happy to see their one and only grand father and I bet his father also wanted to know them especially my little love bug Faith. I just can’t wait for that day to come, but we have to be patience as for the moment, I know someday our dreams will come true to be together once again.

Plans For Their Birthday

Finally, I can think clearly now what to do with my kids birthday, at first I was confused as to what exactly I have to do, I thought to have a birthday party at school for Mj with a mascot of that Jollibee or Mcdonalds and Faith will going to celebrate her birthday at home, the same as last year, with mascots and magic tricks and all that.

But it cost us too much if we hire some people to do it, so just now when we were on our way home from Mj's tutorial, a plan played in my mind. This is what I'm getting when I commute especially when there's a long line of traffic, I could think much better. Hehehe

The plan will be as close of what I have thought before, I guess I will pursue with celebrating the birthday of Mj at school but this time, I still have to think much further? Joke! Well, it's either I have to hire the Jollibee team or make it simple like I will just bring a cake and a spaghetti, but let's see because I still did not finalize it, I still have to depend on the budget her father will give me, but with Faith, since she really loves water, we might just go to a pool with cousins and maybe few friends. A pool where we haven't gone yet, the water world is my number one option or the paradise island, I know it's a beach resort but geez it's been two years now since we did not visit the place.

Free Cake Anyone?

This cute cake was given to me during my birthday last year at the mall; yes we had free cake at that time since I am a frequent customer and own a card from them. I can use this card for points every time I purchased or shop and or used it for discounts, 5% off is not bad right?

Ezy Roller For My Kids

Mj is an outgoing kid, she is so sporty at 9 years old, she knows how to skate, bike, and some other stuff. Faith is I think would follow the footsteps of her sister when she grow up, so if I would buy an Ezy Roller now for Mj, Faith could still use it in the future. In today's economy, we must utilize all the things that we can still use, in that way we can save and budget our money well, in addition to that we are saving the environment too. Not to mention, that we are needing pillowcases at home, we don't have much of those so I better shop for those, one friend told me about personalized pillowcases, this pillowcase has a chenille fabrics so it must be so soft when you touches it, geez I can't wait to buy one.

I must set aside more money so I could save it in my bank, in order for me to buy the things I want. It's the first month of the year so I have to buy new things for the house and for my kids. And perhaps, an extension for the living room is my number one project this year since our living room is so tight already for us, we can't even move much because of its being small.

Yes, I think to rent a house now is a waste of money for me, I have to buy numbers of appliances to be use if I would rent a house, so why not spend the money for the renovation of my house, anyway I have my name of this house, so I guess I have to take care of it yet before I and Terry will pursue our plan, and before I forgot, when I checked Faith’s blanket on her crib, I just found out that she might need another one, she needs another nap mat because she only got two mats and those were worn out already. Oh! The time flies so fast that I nearly didn’t realize is her birthday next month.

I am not sure if this was right, I am just rhyming the words and created a no-direction, senseless poem. What I just wanted to say is that I guess I need patience. That's all goodnight everyone!

Going Out Again

I and my eldest daughter will be going out again today; she needs to have her teeth fixed before the classes start. I hope we can catch up with the dentist since she is so busy nowadays. We went there yesterday but the Dentist was out early, so we went home after we paid the electricity bill. So I hope today, we will able to meet her.

Right after that, we will visit Clarinda and her baby again; this is one way of breathing some fresh air outside, lol not really outside but inside the hotel, because after the visits, I will be back to the realization that we still have a lot of pending task that we haven't done yet.

I am not being impatient here, it is just that the kids are growing so fast now, but anyway as one of my friends said "Everything happens for a reason" so better to breath in and out and I will just have to enjoy the moment with my kids, and watch the Korean music video, lol.

Gifts And Coins

Sister bought again some gifts for the kids on New Year, Faith got a new pair of pants and Mj has a new purple T-shirt, the open it on 12:00 a.m., and everyone was happy to see what was inside the box, not the oldies because we got nothing, just kidding, this kind of occasion is actually for kids, we already had that when we were at their age.

So what I did was, I exchange my bills for coins at the store and throw it in the air at our living room so my cousin, kids, sister, brother-in-law would be able to pick the coins in the floor, I was having fun seeing them grabbing the coins while Faith was just sitting in the couch in front of them, trying to figure out what they were doing.

So Boring

I don't have anything to say on this blog because we just spent the day the usual one, the usual boring days. I even caught myself just watching the Boys over Flower, I know I am so late being so hooked with this Korean series, well it was started when I watched a certain scene that made me think, this series got something that I must need to watch it ahead. And that is in You tube since this series already ended last August, every people in town talked about this sensation but I just ignored it, I had so many things to do that I didn't have time to watched any drama series in TV.

So boring that I don't even have any interest of looking for another house that we can get an Internet connection, I don't even like to go out, well I don't even want to think about the future, indeed I am still hoping that tomorrow would bring us, my family together.

Will I Get A Flat Screen?

As I mentioned before, I will be moving to a new house this year. There are a lot of things I will need when me and the girls move. One of the things I will need is a place for my TV.

tv stands come in a lot of different models. If I have a flat screen TV I will certainly want a different stand than if I have a more conventional TV. What do you think I should get a flat screen or an old style TV?
